Adelaide Oval Redevelopment

Adelaide, South Australia

Adelaide, South Australia

Adelaide Oval has enjoyed a proud history as one of Australia’s premier sporting and entertainment venues for more than 140 years. In late 2009 the State Government embarked on a plan to bring cricket and football together at a newly developed Adelaide Oval – delivering an internationally renowned, world- class venue for the 21st century.

This redevelopment was designed to continue the legacy of the Adelaide Oval, with many traditions of the grounds maintained. Simultaneously, it was to ensure the development of an iconic, multisport venue, energising the recreational edge of Adelaide for cricket and AFL sports.

The $535 million development, completed in 2014, delivered a world class sporting stadium with a seating capacity of 53,500
